Melbourne playmaker Cooper Cronk has agreed terms on a new two-year contract that will almost certainly see the Queensland star finish his career with the Storm.

According to a report in the Herald Sun, Cronk and the NRL club will announce the deal on Friday, ending speculation linking him with a move to a Sydney team to be closer to his partner, Fox Sports presenter Tara Rushton.

Cronk, who is set to make his 300th game in this year's finals series, made his debut in 2004, and will play out his career with the Storm alongside fellow Maroons teammates Cameron Smith and Billy Slater.
